What’s This TV Show About?
A FOX crime drama based on DC Comics characters, Gotham stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, David Mazouz, Sean Pertwee, Erin Richards, Camren Bicondova, and Chris Chalk. The FOX series explores the early days of then-police detective James Gordon (McKenzie) and iconic Gotham City characters — before they became legends. The fifth and final season centers on Bruce Wayne’s (David Mazouz) transformation into the caped crusader.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Gotham is averaging a 0.63 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.26 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 18% and 12%, respectively. Find out how Gotham stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Will Gotham be cancelled or renewed for season six? Since even the bat is eventually no match for a hungry television vulture, the series is ending with season five, and I shall have my supper. With Bruce Wayne transforming into Batman though, there could well be a sequel or spin-off someday. I’ll keep an eye on FOX releases and industry news, so subscribe for free Gotham updates.

Please don’t cancel Gotham, I really love this show, I do believe I am not alone in this! I am rewatching the series from the beginning due to the fact I love it…
I’m sure a lot of people enjoy watching the show, I know I do. I really hope they don’t cancel it.
Why stop at 6? Keep going thru all of what we know of Batman and them write some more! The actors are ALL awesome in their parts- (but it’s sad to see them change the ones for Bruce Wayne and Cat, but I can kinda see why!?!). Good writing too- why mess with a good thing?
I agree, my son told me about this show he’s 56 so I started watching it I am 72 I told my daughter she started watching it she is 54 she told all thhree of her sons, ages 19, 23, and30, they love dick I see no reason to discontinue the program or the original cast members they are great actors and part of the reason that everyone continues watching please make more series there’s no reason to stop a good show like this it gives us something to watch. Please please give us another season I am a longtime Batman fan now and days the Batman the Superman Green Arrow I grew up on are so twisted up that they’re not even Batman or Superman anymore this is the first TV series I’ve seen in a long time that I actually could sit down and watch so with that being said I think y’all can keep this going obviously I’m not the only one who wants it when it comes to television I think the viewers are correct so just hear us out we’re asking for at least one… Read more »
Just watched the last show last night. Where we see most of the villains come into their respective roles. Penguin becoming his final character, Riddler, Catwoman, Joker, etc…And of course finally Batman. Why in god’s name would they end this series now…?!! They left it WIDE OPEN at the end for a whole new season. I saw nothing that would denoted a closure or finale for this show just the opposite in fact. I hope that the creators and writers of Gotham band together to either renew Gotham or at least (for all the Fans) make a couple “Spin off” series. This was one of the best written series on TV for an extremely long time, and well cast too. Don’t understand why the best shows are always cancelled and the mindless, empty headed reality series continue on and on and on. Maybe there can be a Riddler / Penguin spin off. I just watched the series finale and it was good (the whole series itself was good) wish they stop ending shows when things start to get interesting … they did the same thing with Smallville … sheesh hopefully DC Universe will develop some more good origin stories for TV, I’m thinking the current movie franchises will have the big ones pretty much locked up.
I hope this show continues, I love watching it
Love Gotham, hoping it to not be an end but beginning to solo character stories, or spin off to batboy to batman. We hope ideas are considered. We thank and appreciate cast and crew for 5 season of early Gotham life. Much love and respect to writers and producers.
